Segway in the Woodland

Throughout the Kenric year, we organise a diverse range of activities, from walking to kite-flying, open to any member – and their invited guests – wishing to join the fun. Kenric dances and discos are usually open to members and guests. Local Groups throughout the country organize a wide range of activities that include purely social gatherings as well as more active pursuits… You name it, we do it!

Join us for on the Segway rally course within the grounds of Alexandra Palace. Segways are easy to use and lots of fun as you test your skills on a variety of terrains in the parkland.

Duration: 1 hour (incl. safety briefing & instruction)

Cost: £30.00 per person. Please make payment by BACS into the Kenric bank account to secure your place.

Meeting point: We’ll meet in the East Car Park next to Alexandra Palace (free parking).

Upon arrival we’ll need to register, complete some paperwork and be given the relevant safety kit. We’ll be given a brief introduction to the Segway before taking our first steps on to the Segway and taking part in a few Segway games to build both skill and confidence. When we’ve become confident on the Segway we’ll be taken on to the parkland with the Instructor and given the opportunity to test the true speed of your Segway, and practice our new found skills!

Getting there: Nearest tube is Wood Green, where you will need to get the W3 bus from bus stop A across the road from the station. By rail, Alexandra Palace has its own train station (Alexandra Palace) which is accessible from Kings Cross and Moorgate. There is free car parking on site.
