Sunday August 20th 2017, 12:00pm
Wartling Road, Hailsham, East Sussex BN27 1RN
Fancy a tour around Herstmonceux Castle, a beautiful moated castle, and a science and astronomy tour around the original Greenwich Observatory Science Centre with maybe lunch or afternoon tea, plus an exhibition of Zimbabwean Sculpture. Then come and join the West Surrey Group in East Sussex.
The organised group tour includes entrance and guided tours of both the castle and the observatory and the Zimbabwean art exhibition is in the castle grounds. The meeting point will be the Chestnuts Tea Room at Herstmonceux Castle at 12 noon. There’ll hopefully be time between the tours for tea in the observatory café or afterwards before we go home.
Travel: By train, it takes between 75 to 90 minutes from London Victoria to Polegate station. We can arrange car sharing if required, please let me know if you need to share or can provide one! If anyone needs to be collected from the station you’ll need to arrive at Polegate station by 11:30am.
