Thursday 31st May

Kenric member Jan Pimblett works at London Metropolitan Archives (LMA) and is involved in arranging the “Women and Power: London History Day” on 31st May.

Jan says about the event:
“Discover the amazing stories of women and power in the capital. Find out about female campaigners, factory workers, reformers, politicians, apprentices, artists and engineers going back through the centuries. Their stories will be revealed through document displays, film footage, talks and presentations. We’re really pleased that Vg Lee and Mary Vassallo will be running a signwriting workshop. This fun session is suitable for everyone. Val and Mary have just deposited their archive with LMA which tells the story of their signwriting adventures from the 1980s to 2000.

Kenric will have an information stall as part of the day’s excitement. It would be brilliant to see you all there.”
